It is becoming increasingly common to see pest species such as feral pigeons and gulls occupying the skyline.  They are frequently seen in town centres, warehouses, loading gantries and many other urban areas.  These birds do not only cause businesses and the public unsightly mess they are also plagued with diseases.  They promote secondary insect infestation on their nesting sites, create noise, smell and health and safety hazards wherever they are found.




All animals have their natural predators - even urban birds that have had no first hand experience of predators still carry the genetic memory.  The site of a bird of prey is enough to cause the pest to take flight, and when hawks/falcons are flown in a specific routine it will alter their roosting and nesting patterns.
